Bingo

The major fundraising activity for the band program is bingo. ABB hosts a bingo session every Sunday evening at B-1 Bingo. Each section of the band is assigned dates throughout the year for which they are responsible for providing student and parent workers, approximately once every five weeks. All students and parents are needed to work their assigned bingo sessions. Marching band and color guard need to work ten bingo sessions; concert only and jazz rhythm should work eight bingo sessions. We particularly need help from concert only families during the months of September and October during marching band competition season.

Please check the monthly calendar for your assigned session. Bingo benefits the entire band and we earn approximately $55,000 per year with this fundraiser. Our OUTSTANDING BAND PROGRAM would not be possible without this funding.

EACH AND EVERY BAND STUDENT receives instruction funded with bingo earnings.

SCRIP

Scrip is simply a word that means, "substitute money" -in other words; Scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They're the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including JCPenney, Gap, Starbucks, Blockbuster, Chili's, United Artist Theaters, Shell Gas and many, many others. Use Scrip to put your regular spending dollars to work and raise money for your student's share account.

To get your gift certificates simply print a Scrip Order Form, fill it out and submit the form with a check or money order for the $ value of the certificate. You will receive a gift certificate for the same dollar amount that can be used at the retailer you selected. A percentage of the certificate's value will be deposited directly into your student's share account. The percentages vary depending on the retailer. These percentages and more detailed submission instructions are included on the Scrip Order Form.

Grocery Cards & Certificates

Albertson's Community Partners cards are available for your family. When you purchase groceries at Albertson's, remind the cashier to scan your card. A portion of your purchase will be contributed to the General Band Account. The amount of the contribution is calculated on a sliding scale, up to a maximum of $1,800.00 per quarter. For example, an organization purchasing $35,000.00 in groceries during a quarter would receive a $750.00 contribution ($30,000 X 2%, or $600 plus $5,000 X 3% or $150). We are the only group at AHS to receive these cards. Although this program does not allow monies to go to your student's share account, it does benefit the entire band program!

King Soopers and Tony's Meats grocery certificates are also available. For every $100.00 you buy, $5.00 goes directly to your student account. Use you student account to pay for trip fees, band fees, uniform costs or apply toward college if you're a senior. Sell certificates to your friends and neighbors and earn even more!

Butter Braids

Once in the fall and once in the spring Arapahoe band students will be selling Butter Braids. This is a valuable fundraiser which benefits individual students as well as the band. The cost of each Butter Braid is $9.00, and $4.50 per each sold is deposited in student's individual accounts. Order forms containing information about the product are sent home with the student.

 


 

Romano’s Night-The First Tuesday of the Month!

Enjoy Romano’s delicious dining or take-out and help raise funds for our band!! On the first Tuesday of each month, (except December), from 4pm until closing, Romano’s will donate 20% of your check to the Arapahoe Band Boosters. Please visit the Romano’s in Highlands Ranch at 32 W. Springer Drive. Coupons are available on the table in the band room and on this web page.

You MUST have a coupon to have the funds donated to Arapahoe Band.
