Freshmen Elections
Campaigning will begin on Monday August 30 and run through Thursday September 2. Voting will be done on Thursday, September 2. Please be reminded to have your campaigning materials approved and stamped per the policies outlined in the freshmen application.

August 31 General Council Meeting
- Nominations for Homecoming royalty are in the cafeteria all day
- This is campaign week for freshmen elections
- Class updates were given by each president
- Sign up sheets were passed around for royalty elections and freshman elections - We need help for people to run those tables
- Members volunteered to work at club cafe next Wednesday
- Driver forms were passed around-if you can drive be sure to talk to Mr. Brandberg or Mrs. Lee about getting a form.
- Student Council bonding event on Friday, September 10
- All classes need to be working their floats
August 24 General Council Meeting
- Goal Setting (Mr. Brandberg) - all officers need to fill out a goal setting form. Students are encouraged to move from being observers, to being participators to being leaders.
- Historians - We need four or five historians (general members are encouraged to do this) to be at our events throughout the year to take pictures!
- Bulletin Board - Similar to the historian jobs, we need more general members to form a committee to decorate the bulletin board throughout the year.
- Broke up into homecoming committees
August 17 General Council Meeting:
- Introductions-officers introduced themselves, from all classes. Mrs. Lee, Mr. Brandberg, and Mrs. Gottlieb.
- We reviewed the process for freshmen elections-if you are interested meet this thursday morning at 6:45 am or after school, both in E9.
- We passed out our five homecoming committee sign up sheets-talk to committee heads (jordan-parade, caryn-royalty, matt- bonfire, alex/tayler-decorations and dance) about how you can help out.
- Back to school dance this Friday the 20th, 8pm-10pm.Our homecoming theme: Candyland!
- Mr. Brandberg and Mrs. Gottlieb reviewed our basic goals and expections for this year.
