Smile for a Lifetime

Looking for a unique opportunity to join the Arapahoe community and the non-profit organization, Smile for a Lifetime, as we celebrate the season with Deliberate Acts of Love? Student Council has partnered with the non-profit Smile for a Lifetime of Greater Denver, Thoreaux Orthodontics, and the Claire Davis family in order to offer one AHS student free orthodontia. This is a tremendous opportunity for a current student at Arapahoe High in need of orthodontic care. There is an application process. All applications are due by November 30. The application can be found on Dr. Thoreaux's web page.

Flu Vaccinations

Flu season is just around the corner in Colorado! There is no way to predict in advance how severe flu activity will be so prevention is the best strategy to stay healthy. The single best way to avoid getting influenza is to get vaccinated each year. Annual influenza vaccination is recommended for all persons aged 6 months and older, who do not have a contraindication to the vaccine. Most health insurance companies (including Medicaid) cover the cost of getting a flu vaccine so families with health insurance can go to your in-network health care provider to receive a vaccine at no cost. Many pharmacies will bill your insurance and not charge a fee for flu vaccine (check with your local pharmacy). If you are uninsured, or your insurance won’t cover vaccines, or you have Medicaid or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), you can call Tri-County Health Department at 303-451-0123 to be vaccinated in one of their clinics. You can also visit to find flu shot clinics near you.

Arapahoe Library Moving Forward Fund

Although we've made great strides in construction of the library and we are nearing its completion, we still have a long road to pave in raising needed funds to cover the expenses of this important project. We are forever grateful for all the companies who have provided in-kind and cash donations as well as reduced fees however, over $800,000 is still needed! Please consider making a donation - any amount is greatly appreciated!

Any donation of $500.00 or more will have a commemorative book spine that will be permanently displayed in the library as an artistic piece to thank our generous donors.

For donation information, please visit the Moving Forward site. THANK YOU!

If you have any questions about donating please contact either Beth Best at LPS Foundation 303-347-3478 or or Nancy Seavall at 303-918-1611.
