"It's all about the JOURNEY ..... not the DESTINATION"
or in Woodworking terms
"It's all about the PROCESS ..... not the PRODUCT"
Welcome to the " Warrior Woodworking " web page. Students will rotate through 3 different units, learning a variety of woodworking skills and procedures while gaining experience using various tools and machines.
Light Machine Rotation – In this rotation, students will gain experience with the “lighter” or smaller machine tools in the shop. These may be similar to the machines used in a middle school experience. They will build a small "Mantle Clock" using the BANDSAW, SANDERS and DRILLPRESS.
Heavy Machine Rotation - In this rotation, students will gain experience with the “heavy” or larger machine tools in the shop. These are machines that they are probably NOT familiar with, and that they will learn to use for the first time. Students will build a small "Wooden Jewelry Box" using the TABLESAW, RADIAL ARM SAW, JOINTER, and SURFACE SANDER.
Wood Turning Rotation - In this rotation, students will be learning about WOOD TURNING and spend the majority of their time on the MINI LATHE turning a variety of project like Pens, Tops, Whistle, etc.
