FREE, ONLINE KEYBOARDING SITES TO PRACTICE AT HOME

Sense-lang.org – this site will show you your typing speed and accuracy.

Free Typing Lessons & Games – the graphics on this site are a little overwhelming, but it’s a great site as it lets you choose which keys to work on, set a goal speed, and it will give you your speed/accuracy results

Power Typing – this site will let you select lessons with keys you need to work on. You can click on the Set Goal button to set a goal speed. When you hit stop, it will give you your speed/accuracy results.

Peter's Online Typing – this site allows you to choose lessons to work on and tells you your accuracy, but does not give you your speed results

Typing Web – this site gives you drill lines on home row key, top row and bottom row. Does give you accuracy and speed results. Even though it might ask you to register, you don’t need to.

Mr. Kent's Typing Tutor – this site looks kind of old school, but lets you pick lessons and speeds. Will give you results when finished. If you click on the Home button on left side of screen you can also find other typing resources.

NOTE: If you don't find these websites very user friendly, another alternative is to purchase typing software at a local retailer like Best Buy or Target. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing is the most popular software.
