Arapahoe Musicians Selected to 2009 All State Jazz Band

Centennial, Colorado—Arapahoe Junior drummer, Kevin Matthews, and Sophomore bassist, Andrew Ryan, have been selected to perform in the 2009 Colorado All State Jazz Band. Kevin was selected as the best large school drummer in the state. Andrew was selected as one of the top two best large school jazz bassists in the state. Arapahoe Senior vibraphonist, David Culp, was selected as an alternate for this year’s All State Jazz Band. He was evaluated to be one of the top two best large school jazz vibraphonists in the state.

This year’s All State Jazz Band Concert took place at the Broadmoor’s International Center North, Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 2:00pm. Dr. Ed Cannava is Arapahoe’s Director of Bands.
