Arapahoe High School Jazz Musicians Achieve Awards at Mile High Jazz Festival

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Jazz I and Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs were awarded unanimous Superior-I ratings at the Mile High Jazz Festival on February 5, 2009. Arapahoe’s Jazz II achieved a high Excellent-II+ rating at the festival.

The following students were awarded outstanding musicianship awards: Reid Lindeberg, Madison Munn (2 awards), Jake Cook, Duncan Fedde, Tyler Gehring, George Darling, Nicole Jensen, Wes Leffingwell (2 awards), Kevin Matthews (2 awards), Andrew Ryan (2 awards), Riley Sinn, Alyssa Barton (2 awards), David Culp, Ian Rictor, Matt Darling, Erik Lundgren, Phillip Strom and Marshall Tugman.

Dr. Ed Cannava directs the Jazz Bands and Combo at Arapahoe High School.
