Arapahoe’s Jazz Trumpeter and Vocalist Receives Award
Centennial, Colorado—Arapahoe High School’s lead jazz trumpeter and vocalist, Melanie Brown, was awarded an award plaque at the 2008 Mile High Jazz Festival. She was recognized as one of the most outstanding trumpeters/vocalists at this year’s festival. Melanie is a member of Arapahoe Jazz I and The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs.
Dr. Ed Cannava directs the jazz bands and combo at Arapahoe.
