Arapahoe Warrior Marching Band Places First at Pikes Peak March of Champions

 

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Warrior Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Ed Cannava, placed first at the October 17, 2007, Pikes Peak March of Champions at Garry Berry Stadium in Colorado Springs. They were named the top Percussion Section, Color Guard, and Drum Majors out of the 5A Bands for the day. The Arapahoe Warrior Marching Band scored 83.7 points at the competition.

 

The 2007 Warrior Marching Band is led by Drum Majors Eddie Lyon and Lyndsey Sotwick.

 

The Warrior Band’s section leaders include: Emily Haller, Flute; Carissa Pierce, Clarinet; Jaime Liljegren, Alto Saxophone; Chase Piker, Tenor Saxophone; Melanie Brown, Trumpet; Abbe Haller, Mellophone; Alex James, Baritone; Bryce Turner, Sousaphone; Marielle Hendry, Battery Percussion; Michael Hargreaves, Pit Percussion; and Nichole Kamps, Color Guard.

 

The Warrior Band’s squad leaders include: Nicole Jensen, Clarinet, and Maureen Kosse, Mellophone.

 

The 2007 Arapahoe Marching Band Staff includes: Fred Bowlus, Matt Clarkson, and Lauren Maxwell, Percussion; Kenny Bailey, Roger St. Vincent, Dee Hanes, and Marcus Brown, Color Guard; Dave Hurd Bruce Fox, and Mark Talley, Marching; Fran Piazza, Flute; Heather Davis, Clarinet; Tait Solberg, Saxophone; Missy Steinbock, Trumpet: Ron Torp, Mellophone; and Jeff Craig, Low Brass.
