Arapahoe Warrior Marching Band Wins Top Music Award

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Warrior Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Ed Cannava, won the high music caption award, out of 30 bands, at the October 7, 2007 Pomona Marching Festival. They placed 2^nd overall and second in 5A classification out of the 30 competing bands. At Prelims, the Warrior Band placed first in music and visual ensemble. At finals, Arapahoe also placed first in music.

Arapahoe’s 2007 field show is “¡La Fiesta!” featuring “El Camino Real”, “El Mariachi”, “Intermezzo from Carmen”, España Cani”, and “Fiesta”. Wind arrangements are by Scott Hickey; Percussion score by Doug Rosener; Visual Design is by Craig Harms, Kenny Bailey, and Dave Hurd; and Costuming by Susan James.

The 2007 Warrior Marching Band is led by Drum Majors Eddie Lyon and Lyndsey Sotwick.
