Arapahoe Warrior Marching Band Places First at State Qualifying Competition

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Warrior Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Ed Cannava, placed first out of 20 bands, at the October 9, 2007 Metro Qualifying Festival. The judges put Arapahoe in 1^st place in every music and visual category. This is the first time in Arapahoe High School history that the Warrior Marching Band has won the Metro 5A State Qualifying Competition.

Arapahoe’s 2007 field show is “¡La Fiesta!” featuring “El Camino Real”, “El Mariachi”, “Intermezzo from Carmen”, España Cani”, and “Fiesta”. Wind arrangements are by Scott Hickey; Percussion score by Doug Rosener; Visual Design is by Craig Harms, Kenny Bailey, and Dave Hurd; and Costuming by Susan James.

The 2007 Warrior Marching Band is led by Drum Majors Eddie Lyon and Lyndsey Sotwick.
