Arapahoe Marching Band-5A State Champion Runner Up for 2007

 

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Warrior Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Ed Cannava, performed to the level of State Champion Runner-Up at Hughes Field, at C.S.U. in Ft. Collins, on October 20, 2007. This is the second time in Arapahoe High School history that the band has reached second place at the State Championships. The Warrior Marching Band has placed no lower than 3rd at state, since 2004.

 

The band scored 84 points-just 2 points out of 1st place. The band would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support throughout the 2007 competitive season.

 

Arapahoe’s 2007 field show is “¡La Fiesta!” featuring “El Camino Real”, “El Mariachi”, “Intermezzo from Carmen”, España Cani”, and “Fiesta”.  Wind arrangements are by Scott Hickey; Percussion score by Doug Rosener; Visual Design is by Craig Harms, Kenny Bailey, and Dave Hurd; and Costuming by Susan James.

 

The 2007 Warrior Marching Band is led by Drum Majors Eddie Lyon and Lyndsey Sotwick.

 

The Warrior Band’s section leaders include: Emily Haller, Flute; Carissa Pierce, Clarinet; Jaime Liljegren, Alto Saxophone; Chase Piker, Tenor Saxophone; Melanie Brown, Trumpet; Abbe Haller, Mellophone; Alex James, Baritone; Bryce Turner, Sousaphone; Marielle Hendry, Battery Percussion; Michael Hargreaves, Pit Percussion; Nichole Kamps, Color Guard..

 

The Warrior Band’s squad leaders include: Nicole Jensen, Clarinet; and Maureen Kosse, Mellophone.
