Arapahoe Wind Ensemble Achieves Superior State Festival Ratings

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Wind Ensemble was awarded a superior rating with distinction (superior ratings from all 3 judges) from a national panel of adjudicators at the Colorado Bandmasters Association’s State Concert Band Festival. 24 out of more than 70 bands were selected to this year’s State Festival. The performance took place at Griffin Concert Hall, within the CSU Performing Arts Center, in Fort Collins, on April 22, 2008.

Dr. Ed Cannava is Arapahoe’s Director of Bands. Band Staff include: Fred Bowlus, Percussion; Fran Piazza, Flute; Michael Vigliotti, Oboe; Debbie Torp, Bassoon; Heather Davis, Clarinet; Tait Solberg, Saxophone; Missy Steinbock, Trumpet; Ron Torp, Horn; and Jeff Craig, Low Brass.
