Ms. Engel joins the Language Arts Department where she will teach English 9, English 10, and Intro to Public Speaking. Ms. Engel begins her 27th year of teaching and has previously taught Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas. Most recently, she taught at Blue Valley High School in Overland Park, Kansas. Ms. Engel is excited to join the unbeatable Arapahoe community! She worked with people all the way in Kansas City who went to Arapahoe and had the best experience--the Warrior reputation transcends state lines.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Engel is outdoors as much as possible...cycling, hiking, jogging with her dog, and exploring new areas, restaurants, and events. As a fun fact, Ms. Engel once sent in an audition video for an early season of Survivor. She made the initial cut!

From Colorado farms to LPS cafeterias!
Students across Littleton Public Schools are enjoying more Colorado-grown and locally produced foods in their school meals, thanks to the work of LPS Nutrition Services and grant funding from the Colorado Department of Education.
Local apples, peaches, rainbow carrots, potatoes, peppers, beef, honey, tortillas, spices and more are making their way into LPS kitchens and into recipes students already know and enjoy.

Mr. Ripp joins the Social Studies Department where he will teach US History and US Government. Mr. Ripp begins his 11th year of teaching and has previously taught in Jonkoping, Sweden; Fairfax, Virginia; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida! Mr. Ripp is excited to jump right into the motivated and caring community he has heard so much about!
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Ripp loves spending time outdoors hiking, running, skiing, climbing, scuba/freediving, and lounging in hammocks. As a fun fact, Mr. Ripp can ski almost anything in Colorado, but on a snowboard, he can only turn left or spin counterclockwise before inevitably falling tragically.

Ms. Pettee begins her 6th year of teaching and joins us from Littleton High School. Ms. Pettee grew up not too far from Arapahoe, so she always heard about how great Arapahoe High School was--the athletics, teachers, students, staff, activities, the traditions, and everything else in between. Ms. Pettee knows that no matter your interests, AHS has a place for everyone and she is excited to add to that!
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Pettee enjoys her “fur babies”--Reilly (a Pomeranian) and Hattie (a tabby cat) and cheering on the Colorado Avalanche. As a fun fact, Ms. Pettee has been rappelling in New Zealand! She joined People to People, a student travel organization, and had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand and Australia.

Ms. Gilbreth joins the Science Department where she will teach Integrated Science and Biology. This is Ms. Gilbreth’s first year of teaching! She earned her Masters from CSU and completed her student teaching at Thompson Valley High School. Ms. Gilbreth is very excited to become a Warrior! She loves being busy and can’t wait to participate in many of our school’s activities and events.

Mr. DeBoer joins the Math Department where he will teach Geometry & Algebra 2. Mr. DeBoer begins his 7th year of teaching and joins us from Skyview Academy in Douglas County. He is currently working towards his Masters in Teaching Math through Northwest Missouri. Mr. DeBoer is most excited about being able to collaborate with his colleagues in a larger department.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. DeBoer enjoys spending time with his wife and two college aged children. He also has three dogs and a saltwater aquarium complete with tropical fish and coral!

Ms. Bartoszek joins the Social Studies Department. Although new to Arapahoe as a teacher, Ms. Baroszek is a 2004 graduate and joins us from Newton Middle School. So, she has already taught over 700 current Warriors! She is excited to be reunited with them in our driven and tight knit community.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Bartoszek enjoys spending time with her family. They love watching movies and have a major obsession with swimming and pools!
As a fun fact, Ms Bartoszek spends her free time in the summer chasing tornadoes with her brother!
